Creating an Environment for Spiritual Formation

Families often struggle with getting through day to day life with homework, busy schedules, carpools, and family meal times, but God’s design for family is bigger than all of these things. With all of the distractions that families are faced with, it can become difficult to remember to share the great invitation and commission with our children; and yet we know this is vital in leading them to a life of personal relationship with Jesus and their calling to share it with the world.

Dawn Heckert, pastor of Children’s Ministries at Christ Community Church in Leawood, KS, will lead Lincoln Berean parents to discover key environments they can create as a family which can lead to spiritual growth, individually and as a family. She will share ways in which you can continue building traditions to be passed from generation to generation. The evening will conclude with writing a family mission statement which will provide discernment, instruction, and correction as your family continues to grow deeper in relationship with Christ.
